Stavsfjell
White goat's cheese with a natural rind
from NOK 445/kgPrice in our shop in Rauland
Stavsfjell is our white goat's cheese. It is made from pasteurised goat's milk, grows a natural rind and rests on the shelves of the dairy until it is ready. Young, it is mild and clean. After a year or two it is hard and powerful, closer to a parmesan.
Stavsfjell 6 months won Super Gold at the World Cheese Awards in Bergamo in 2019. It is good on bread, with tapas, on pizza and in pasta. The longest-aged ones are best grated over food or eaten as a snack.
